Morit is a data scientist with expertise in network science. Morit started her data journey as a data analyst in Unit 8200. She completed a BA in Cognitive Science and Psychology at the Hebrew University and worked as a data scientist for two startups with network data in their core technology. A year ago, she was halfway through her MSc research on cyber-attack detection using GNN at Ben-Gurion University when her future partner asked to consult her on what could be done with her network data. Soon, Morit joined her as CTO & cofounder of “Ellie Habotit” where they help users to find love using their friend networks

Ellie is a bot that helps you find love through your social network. As cofounder and CTO, it is part of my job to develop innovative algorithms that find non-trivial matches for our users.
In this talk, I will share how I constructed these “networks of love” and give two examples of successful methods that captured valuable network characteristics and enabled us to find meaningful matches.
One example is a classic network analysis algorithm with a tweak inspired by the “dropout” method from neural networks, and the other is a graph neural network inspired by NLP techniques.
Join me for this talk if you want to learn how I used a multi-disciplinary approach to help people find love
