Abstract

Smartwatches have become ubiquitous in recent years, largely due to their ability to track and monitor various health metrics. However, the potential impact of these devices extends far beyond sports tracking. The lecture will demonstrate the results of an innovative study showing the sensitivity of smartwatches in a range of non-trivial use cases. These include evaluating the safety of vaccines, diagnosing diseases, identifying behavioral changes during crises, and even identifying engagement with contents and products. These examples reveal the potential of smartwatches to make a significant impact in a wide range of fields.
