This roundtable will explore transitioning between academia to industry and industry to academia.
Taking the first steps in industry can be a challenging experience for researchers. What are the differences between doing successful research in academia versus industry? How does one keep up with the state-of-the-art outside of academia? And when going back to academia from industry, what effect will a thesis field choice have on future career options in industry, and how should one keep a link to industry while they study? These topics will be explored and discussed for anyone wishing to learn more.
